My new playground

I knew something was up when they moved all the furniture out of the room and ran that loud machine over the floor. I hate that thing.

Next thing I knew there were people knocking at the door and demanding to bring things up the stairs. I let Joe deal with it whilst I watched covertly from under a bed. I didn't come out until Beth got home. She was going into the room and she had sheets. I love fresh sheets.

I peered into the room and saw that there was funny-smelling furniture in the place! I didn't bother to check it out. Beth was already starting without me. You see, she can't make a bed without me.

Later that night while my people slept, I was able to explore. Oh, this new furniture is nice. I especially like the really high stuff. And I can now jump straight from the bed to the window. Of course, my people were in the way of my exploring, and Joe kept yelling at me. He can be so rude.

Interesting pink stuff

Last night my people came home late once again. I yelled at them and Joe gave me some treats. Yum.

Then Beth shoved that little white thing down my throat. I was a little peeved about that, but then she brought me some pink stuff that smelled interesting. She held out some for me and I sniffed it. Joe took my picture. Whatever. Then I ate the pink stuff. It was fuzzy and it melted on my tongue. It was yummy. I just had to follow her around to beg for more.

At least she brought me something good after doing her so-called "cleaning." I had the house smelling exactly how I like it. Then she went around scrubbing everything.

Long Night

So, my people are home last night. It was a good night. The one called Beth changed the sheets on my bed; I got lots of treats. I was very happy.

Then it happened. More people entered my home. Their stuff smelled like another cat, so I sniffed at it for a while and even humored one by playing a mouse game. I got bored and went to bed.

Just as I was dozing off, though, the female one entered my room. She wanted to sleep in my bed! I tried to scare her off by hissing, but it didn't work. I was so angry that I wouldn't even let Beth touch me. I ran out of the room and glared at everyone. Then the male one tried to touch me. How dare he! I gave him a good smack and hid under my people's bed.

They stayed all night. I couldn't get a wink of sleep. My people didn't seem to care. No matter what I did - scratch at the door, run around the hallway, stare - they didn't get rid of them until late this morning.

I wish they would ask me before they would ask me before they did stuff like this. After all this is my home.

Fourth of July

I've been living with these people now for almost four years. It's been okay. This house they bought me a couple years ago has a lot of windows and the birds are plentiful.

They bought me a new mouse the other day. How kind of them. They laughed when they found my old mouse. They didn't think my potty was a good hiding place and got rid of it.

It's the Fourth of July. The loud noises that happen every year will be starting soon. I need to go find a hiding spot so the noises won't find me. Until next time, World.
